Membership is offered in two categories. FULL members are those holding a valid FCC Amateur Radio license while ASSOCIATE MEMBERS are those with an interest in radio communications who are not licensed. Dues are only $5 per calendar year for both categories of membership.

INTERESTING MEETINGS---On the second Thursday of each month except August at Ed White High School; 1700 Old Middleburg near Normandy Blvd and I-295. Meetings start at 7:30PM and include presentations on issues concerning Amateur Radio, technical topics, operating techniques, various modes of Amateur Radio and more.

NEWSLETTER---The Balanced Modulator is distributed monthly through NOFARSnet hosted by Yahoo Groups. Subscription is FREE to members.  To subscribe, send an e-mail to n4uf@nofars.net.

REPEATER SYSTEM---The W4IZ Repeater System transmits on 146.7 and 444.4 MHz. Repeaters allow those with low-powered equipment to increase their communications range.

NOFARS NEW HAM ADVISOR--Our New Ham Advisor provides helpful tips. He invites question from newcomers.

QUARTERLY FCC LICENSE TESTING---Our team of NOFARS examiners is accredited by the FCC to administer tests. Sessions are held quarterly in Suite 800 at Regency Square.

COMRADERIE AND INFORMATION--- NOFARS members include persons from many occupations who are active in various phases of Amateur Radio.  The meetings and the W4IZ repeater system provide opportunities to meet interesting people and enhance your communications skills.

Newcomers and longtime operators are welcome. To join, attend the next meeting or send $5 dues to Billy Williams; P.O. Box 9673; Jacksonville, FL 32208. You may join for multiple years at $5 per year.  Please include your name, mailing address, phone ## and e-mail if you wish to receive the e-mail newsletter through Yahoo.  Please allow four weeks for your membership to appear in our roster.

NOFARS Life Memberships are available for $75.  Up to five years of NOFARS dues previously paid may be applied to the cost.  A person who has been a member for five years may become a life member for $50. For four years previous membership, the cost is $55, etc.
